Ysgol Sir Thomas Jones Amlwch

We were contacted to survey the roof of Ysgol Sir Thomas Jones Amlwch as a single slate was discovered on the flat roof above the main foyer area of the school. It was believed that the slate may have slipped approximately 3 weeks prior from the clock tower roof during the high Northeryl/Eartherly winds.

The school had major conversation, as the roof with the suspected slate issues was directly above a busy pedestrian area.

Longstaff Media were able to carry out an aerial survey within 48 hours of first contact being made. We established within an hour of being on site where the slate had come from and that the area was still water proof. We also discovered that as second slate was in a dangerous position and that immediate attention was required.
